Gen. and Mrs. Taylor arrive at Hickham AF Base are greeted by Gen. I D White and others who are not idenitified. NS, Gen. and his wife with Leis around their necks. The Gen. accompanined by Gen. I D White and otehr arrived at Ft. Shafter. A gun salute is fired and Gen. Taylor reviews the 25th Division at Schofield Barracks. A portion of the review passing the grandstand includes the band followed by jeeps mounted with 50 cal. MGs. Scenes of the Gen. trooping the line in jeep with another Gen. unidentified, probably the CG of the 25th. Views of the Gen. on grandstand; passing troops, vehicles with troops seen from the spectator area. Two Honest John rockets on launchers pass by. The Gen. enters car and leaves the field. ---- VS, LVTP5s of the 2nd Engr Amphibious Support Co. coming ashore and moving along the beach. Some of these scenes are underexposed. Looking out twd the water as an LVTP5 comes ashore. Same with another LVTP5. An LCVP coming twd the shore. Cut to the same craft stuck on the beach. LS, LCVP stuck in low water off the beach. Engine on the craft starts to smoke, as it tries to free the boat from the mud. An LVTP5 approaches. A line is thrown to the LCVP and the craft pulled free. Last scenes of LVTP5 on the beach, underexposed.

Maxwell Davenport Taylor (August 26, 1901 – April 19, 1987) was a senior United States Army officer and diplomat of the mid-20th century.[1] He served with distinction in World War II, most notably as commander of the 101st Airborne Division, nicknamed "The Screaming Eagles."
